Mama Pat's was inspired by the cooking, hospitality and family traditions passed down through Chef Ron Freeman's grandmother, Mama Pat. Her kitchen represented what Southern food has always meant to this company: generous flavor, care, family and food that brings people together. Chef Ron carried those traditions into his own career as a chef and entrepreneur, developing Mama Pat's from restaurant cooking into packaged foods and commercial foodservice products. Over the years, the company has introduced Southern comfort foods to retail customers while continuing to develop products that could perform in larger commercial kitchens.
